Extreme Couponing with Coleen Neimann

Are you as excited as I am about the extreme couponing at the next Granny Girl's?  I can't wait to learn more tips and tricks from Coleen Neimann.  And she isn't the only one who is crazy for coupons.  I think this might be one of the most attended meetings-everyone I talk to is interested in saving money with coupons.  If you have been finding great deals or cool tips, please plan on sharing with us newbies. And don't forget the raffle.  Tickets are $1 each and we always have fun prizes.  If this is your first meeting with us it's free or $5 for each class after the first or $20 for a yearly membership.  See you June 9th at 7:00 pm at the Vogue!

May Granny Girls was a blast. 

If you missed it you missed a great time. Jessie has agreed to come to to the June meeting and actually help us start to tat. Bring a shuttle and crochet thread to learn. And Carrie not only showed us her fabulous ribbon flowers she made a detailed, illustrated instruction book for everyone.

May Meeting

Our May meeting is almost here!

Join us this Thursday at 7:00 pm at the Vogue where Jessie Jones will be giving a demonstration on tatting and Carrie Shull will teach a class on ribbon flowers.

If you want to make one of the ribbon flowers, bring wire edged ribbon, needle and thread, scissors and a glue gun.  The tatting will be a demo only.

Raffle tickets are $1 each and you can win some fabulous prizes.

Tee Shirt Flower On Flip Flops

I had so much fun making the tee shirt flowers that I started putting them on everything.  My favorite is on these flip flops.

I made them for my granddaughter, Caroline, who lives in Florida and is celebrating her 9th birthday TODAY!!! 

I have a plain white tee shirt that is just her size and I'm going to put flowers on it.

Next I think I'll put them on a purse.

Will the madness ever end?

Probably not.

Here's the link for the flowered tee shirt necklace tutorial that I promised you.  And here's the link for the other one.  This is a super cute blog by 4 sisters who have the most amazing fashion style.  I love it and you should follow it to keep up with all the fun projects they do.  It's fun watching them to see what cool things they come up with.  And I totally identify with the thrifty side.

Show-N-Crow

Everyone brought such cute things for our April Show N Crow.  They were all crochet projects, some of them were started at last month's meeting.  One of our charter members, Lindsi, is turning out to be our resident "expert" in crochet.  I think she needs to teach a class.  Check out the baby afghan she made.  I know I want to learn how to make it.

And check out Hallie's sweet crochet "Granny Bag".  She promised she'd have the pattern ready for next month.
