August Granny Girls Meeting

The Granny Girls' meeting this month is going to be so great!
Brenda Stanley, the author of the cookbook "The Zucchini Houdini" will be our speaker and she'll demo one of the recipes from the book.
In addition to her cooking skills, Brenda has published a novel that she will talk about as well.
"It is a murder mystery set on an Indian reservation in Utah and is becoming very popular with book clubs in the area.  It was the first book I wrote- at 17.  It is an interesting story about perseverance in the the publishing arena."
Brenda will speak about the process she went through creating both her books and how she published them.

There will be copies of her cookbook to purchase or you may buy them at Barnes & Noble or Town & Country.  She will also sign them and be available for a question and answer segment.
This will be held at Little People's Academy-543 N. Ridge Ave at 7 pm this Thursday, August 11th.

Granny Girls Cookbook

Get your recipes organized and ready to submit.  We have started our first Granny Girls cookbook!  If you have a fabulous recipe for ANYTHING we want it.  We are especially interested in your mom's and grandmother's recipes and any modern updates to them.  For instance, I have the best homemade caramel recipe but it's one of the old style that you stand over a hot stove and stir and stir and stir..... but Hallie has one she claims is just as good that she makes in the microwave.  We want both types.

I made homemade lip gloss with the day care kiddos yesterday and it turned out great so I'm going to put that in.

This is not just for Granny Girls members but is open to everyone you know.  Ask your mom, grandma, aunt, cousin, sister, etc to submit their recipes too.  The more we have the better our book will be.

You will be able to go online and type your own recipe in just like you want it to appear.  To start, go to:Cookbook Publisher

Let everyone know about this and we'll have the best cookbook ever!
